The Pearl Collar

Hey everyone! Today, my outfit is featuring my most coveted item as of right now.

Math equation of the day:
Peter pan collar + necklace + pearls = my dream, in necklace form, come true. :P

{Outfit Details}
(Sweater, my sister's)
(Tutu, Korea)
(Loafers, Thrifted)
(Bag, Vintage Coach)
(Pearl collar, Forever 21)

I can wear this collar over any sweater, blouse, just any top and it adds a super cute, vintage feel.

This Friday is the day of the fashion show my friend and I planned at our school. I am so excited, but nervous for it! We have been planning it since November, and the little details are being solved right now. The clothes are super cute, I just hope the changing backstage won't be too much of a chaos!

New York, New York 2

Day two in NYC, keep on scrollin' people. :)

I know, I know. Times Square is very "touristy," but I seriously love this place! It's loud, crowded, and bright. My mom gets a headache real fast in this part of Manhattan. :P
This is a sidenote, but I noticed that there is an Advertisement for the movie, "Mirror, Mirror" on one of the mega screens behind me. I am looking forward to it, I love classic Disney movies with a modern twist!!

{Outfit Details}
(Leather jacket, Express)
(Blouse, Thrifted)
(Skirt, Lola)
(Loafers, Thrifted)
(Belt, Thrifted)
(Collar clips, Vintage)
(Purse, MCM)

The embellished collars: perfection.

MIU MIU <3

Awesome street artists. This guy is amazing, he uses spray paint....and honestly I don't even know how to describe what he does, but it's cool. I don't even know how he came up with it!

For the second day in NYC, my mom and I did some MORE eye-shopping, this time around the posh Upper East side. I could not stop gushing inside of Henri Bendel! It was kind of surprising to see a gigantic Abercrombie & Fitch store next to top names like, Tiffany's and Prada. But, with those hot store models, I'm not complaining!

My mom met up for lunch with an old friend who works in the city, and then we hit up a place I hold dear to my heart, Soho. I think I spent 2 hours inside of Topshop, only to come out with a pair of beige lace socks. They weren't even for me, though. My friend, Liz, wanted me to get them for her because she has been obsessing over them! (Lace socks with black creepers pretty much sums up her life)

We ended the day with a concert at Carnegie Hall. I mean, it's classical music, so it wasn't head-banging, on-my-feet sort of fun, but I still really enjoyed it! I love seeing people play, because the passion for music the performers have is almost palpable.

The next morning, we woke up early for the flight back home. I hope to return to NYC one day and attend a fashion show one day. That would be a dream come true.

After all, it is called the "City of Dreams!"

New York, New York

Hello people!!!

During the past two days, I was in my favorite city in the world: New York City.
I think it is inevitable for any fashionista to be in love with this place. After all, it is a fashion capital. But it isn't only the fashion that draws me to this bustling city. It is the food, the culture, and the diversity of people that I love. The trip was only two short days, filled with eye-shopping, eating, and people watching. The street fashion is so fun! I was tempted to stop some people on the streets to ask them for a photo of their outfit, but New Yorkers all walk so fast, like they are on a mission. Well, they probably are on a mission of some sort...their morning Starbucks, I suppose? Here are some pictures I took here and there.

{Outfit details}
(Gold sweater, H&M)
(Blouse under, Thrifted)
(Dress worn as skirt, Hollister)
(Loafers, Thrifted)
(Sunglasses, Betsey Johnson "Raven")
(Purse, Mom's old MCM) ---> She wore it during her college years!

Coconut bubble tea

This collar necklace from Anthropologie is amazing. Crochet, gold, a touch of bling, and a bow. What's not to love?!

We always get a corned beef sandwich in NYC. To say that this sandwich is huge would be an understatement!
And a huge cheesecake for dessert. Food coma, anyone?

You guys know how much I love me a cute cupcake!

The Plaza: pretending to be Eloise, while sipping a non-alcoholic Shirley Temple.

The window display at Louis Vuitton from their Spring Merry-go-round. I got my eye on that eyelet collar.

My iPad twin! Sometimes, hanging out at the Apple store is just the way to go. People were already lining up outside the 5th avenue store TWO DAYS before for the launch of the latest iPad. I think that is cray-cray, but hey! Whatever floats your boat.

As soon as we got in Manhattan, the first thing my mom and I did was find Koreatown, and eat amazing Korean food that we can't eat where we live. It is seriously our NYC ritual or something. Then the rest of the day was high-end eye shopping, because the price tag is wayyyyy over my budget, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over. But maybe one day, it won't be as far? (with hard, hard work of course :P)

So, that was my first day in the Big Apple. Stay tuned for day 2.

(Boots, Forever21)

It is great to be on spring break!!!

Liz, Amara, and I woke up at 4 am and headed to the mall. Why were we up at 4 in the morning, you ask? Well, we wanted to get there really early so we could get tickets for a Hunger Games signing with the cast of the upcoming movie!!! Omg we were so excited. Like we woke up, we have been talking about it all week at school! So, we get to the mall, and there is literally a line WRAPPING around the mall. It was crazy. People camping in tents, bundled up in Snuggies to shield the cold wind. I asked the people who were first in line what time they got there. They said they started waiting at 1 pm the day BEFORE! Now, that is what I call a superfan.

In the end, we pretty much of gave up on our chances of getting any where near the Hunger Games cast and returned home. After catching up on sleep, we baked the cutest cupcakes ever! Ya, we have exciting lives. In the afternoon, we ended up going to the mall again. Well, we got to actually see the cast of the Hunger Games. (From 2.357 miles and a crazy mob of teenage girls away) And we managed to get some really blurry pictures. Wow, Josh Hutcherson (Peeta) looked better than any of those cupcakes we made.

It was a tiring, but fun day. I told myself that if the band "One Direction" ever came, I would be that person waiting at 1 pm the day before to get a chance to meet them in person.

It is still snowy and icy here. Spring come soon!

It's warm, chunky, comfortable. And the pattern is amazing! This jumper looks like tapestry that would be on someone's front door step. I love the colors in it. Perfect outfit for being lazy, but still looking cute!

Beware the Ides of March

Velvet button up: Thrifted
Boots: Frye
Bag: Vintage Coach with faux fur tail
Hat: Target

Hey guys!

I am wearing my red circle scarf that I knitted myself!! Yes, I FINALLY finished it. I started it in November and here we are, in March... :P I love it! It's so warm and the color is exactly what I was looking for. I'm using the left over yarn to knit a little headband, so let's see when I'll finish that!
I love this crushed velvet button up that I got from a thrift store. The texture and the rich evergreen color...obsessed! Now that I think of it, I am sporting Christmas colors.

Finals week is actually going pretty well. I'm not too stressed out, and I've gone to bed early than midnight, which is amazing. I am so excited for spring break!
