simple

New loafers! I have to stop myself from wearing them every single day. They seriously match anything.

Hey lovelies!

Today, I wore this awesomely chic shift dress. I love the beige chiffon sleeves that add just the right amount of texture. I went to the mall with two gal pals for a solid four hours, and I didn't buy a single thing! I was so proud of myself... I want to minimize my frivolous shopping habits, and actually save my money towards an investment piece. (I am eyeing a pair of leopard flats from Madewell.)

cozy fall

I got a beautiful henna tattoo at a booth at my school's carnival. Love it! Hopefully it will stay on for a while.

FALL IS BACK!!

You know what that means?! Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte, circle scarves, leather boots, the sound of crunching leaves, and long walks to enjoy the fall breeze... okay, so I'm lying about the long walks part, because I don't go on long walks, but everything else I listed are just a few of the things that make fall my fave fave FAVEEE season of the year.

This dress is a perfect "transition" piece from summer to fall. I added lots of brown leather tones to warm up the dress, like my boots and bag. Top it off with a hat and gold accessories (which is always a must, I wonder if I'll ever get into silver jewelry) and I'm ready to go.

This weekend, my friends and I attended all of the homecoming festivities... football game on Friday, (which we lost by a landslide), and the dance on Saturday night. High school dances are just awkward. Especially when the principal is RIGHT THERE, going through the mob of sweaty students, making sure girls and boys have at least 3 feet between them. Besides that, it was still a good time and it was cute seeing everybody looking their best. :)

bright

(Top, Korea)
(Skirt, J.crew kids!)
(Blazer and Belt, Gap)
(bag, Kate Spade)
(string chain bracelets, Korea)
(Watch, old)

I paired a neon yellow button up with a bright pink skirt, and threw on a beige blazer to tone it down. I randomly found the watch that I'm wearing while I was cleaning my room this weekend! The battery ran out, so I can't tell time on it, (which defeats the whole purpose of a watch) but I love the small size and gold color of it. So don't ask me what time it is!

It is Homecoming week at my school, so each day has a tacky dress-up theme. I wore this for neon day... I would wear this outfit on an ordinary day, so I guess the theme worked out for me! :)

Gangnam Style

Hello, lovelies!

{Outfit details}
(Dress, Zara)
(Shoes, Gap)
(Bag, Kate Spade)
(little banana necklace, Nordstrom)

Roasted chicken

Lamb chops

Creme brulee... my weakness

My sister and I, both sporting pretty peplum dresses! (Hers is from a store in NYC.)

I went to dinner with the fam bam to a "Gangnam style" restaurant. The restaurant rotates slowly as you eat, so you get a stunning 360 degree view of the skyline, from the top of a skyscraper. A fine dining experience, indeed.

btw, do you guys know what I mean when I say "Gangnam Style"? It's a song gone viral, thanks to social media, by the Korean rapper, PSY. But BEWARE because the song is dangerously catchy. It is literally stuck in my head, and I find myself humming the tune unconsciously throughout the day... ;)

stroll in the park

(Denim shirt, American Eagle)
(Skirt, Abercrombie & Fitch)
(Shoes, Korea)
(Bag, Burberry)

My family and I went to an amusement park over the weekend. It was super fun, because I seriously love rides. Except for spinning teacups... that's like a dizzy torture trap. I went on too many roller coasters, with a stomach filled with greasy cheese pizza. Not the best combination!

The weather was so freaking sunny. I don't know whether I'm blinking or squinting in the first picture, because the weather was so dang beautifully sunny. The humid summer heat is slowly going away, welcoming a fresh breeze~

And no, this is not what I wore to the amusement park. :P

wayfarers

Hello, hello everyone!

TGIF :) Today I wore this beautiful dress that I received from a really cute on-line store called swaychic.com
I saw on their website that they have store locations in California (of course, what's NOT in cali??), but since I don't live anywhere near CA, I'm glad I can enjoy their trendy clothing on-line.

(Dress, thank you to swaychic.com)
(Shoes, local boutique)
(bag, vintage Coach)
(accessories, thrifted & randomness)

This burnt orange color is the PERFECT transition shade from summer to fall. The dress is very flow-y, which I love, but it cinches right at the waist so I'm not drowning in chiffon. My favorite part of this dress is the slight waterfall/high-low/mullet/whatever-you-call-it hem of the skirt. I styled it really casually with some leather and gold accessories, and classic Ray-ban wayfarers. These ray-bans were actually my mom's from the 1670's! Well, more like the 1980's. harharhar... the point is that they are oldies but goodies! :)

Happy Fall Fashion Week to all!
Can't wait to see what the designers have in store for Spring 2013...

go with the flow

Hey beauties!

Today I am wearing this amazing dress I received from oasap.com
It pretty much possesses everything that I love in a piece of clothing:
- a simple design and shape
- light and flowy fabric
- neutral color

I tried my best to capture how beautifully this dress moves with the wind, but many shots turned out blurry or awkward... Nevertheless, I felt like a greek goddess. Kind of, sort of, not really.

cool & casual look:

Denim dresses anything down, so I put on a thrifted jean vest and tied the front. I added a slouchy leather bag from Lucky Brand, and voila! The dress doubles as a maxi skirt when I want to keep it cool and casual.

My obsession with statement necklaces is now replaced by delicate and dainty ones.
(random necklaces... the long pearl&shell one is from Banana Republic)

To complete the "Grecian" vibe of the dress, these metallic gold flats paired perfectly! I love the two ankles straps. Surprisingly, I got these shoes from Gap!

(dress, thanks to oasap.com)

This week was pretty uneventful. It was basically spent counting down the days until labor day weekend.
Ah, so glad there's no school Monday!

keep on smiling,

Dahye
