Bye Google Friend Connect... BUT STAY CONNECTED!

Not the best news but...

Google is getting rid of GFC! I heard this news just a few days ago, and had a mini heart attack. But it is not the end of the world, because there are many other platforms we can stay connected with:

Italy Day 2: VENICE

Riding the Venice canal boat!

Dress, c/o eShakti____Shoes, New Balance____Bag, J. Crew____Sunglasses, Chloe

This outfit post is from Venice, the city on water. I used google and pin pictures on Pinterest of Venice years before I actually went there, because it was one of the places I for sure wanted to visit at least once in my life. It really is a one-of-a-kind place in the world. Every building is unique, and the roads are replaced by streams of water. It's really amazing how people built their homes on the water, and replace the cars with boats. The one word I can think of to truly capture what this city was like is MAGICAL.

Life has been crazy hectic lately... yet again I find myself in another country half way across the world, South Korea! (The homeland dundundunnn) Although I am exhausted from the 13 hour flight, it is awesome to see my family and friends again. I'm sure it is broad daylight in the states as I write this, but it is time for me to hit the hay here. So good night to me.

Italy Day 1: MILAN

Blouse, Abercrombie and Fitch____Shorts, Forever21____oxfords, Madewell____Bag, J. Crew____Sunglasses, Chloe____watch, Target

Long time, no see bloggies!!!

Last week I was in possibly the most beautiful country in the world, Italy. This is the first post of "My week in Italy" series, where I spent my first day in Milan.

As a fashion capital of the world, Milan was a great city to start off my trip down the Italian peninsula. My family and I stayed around the Duomo, which is the church in the last picture. I already know that I am going to overuse this term, but my jaw literally DROPPED when I saw this spectacular structure. It is in the middle of a large plaza, filled with tourists like myself, taking pictures as if we had nothing else to do. Right next to it was the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, a mall with magnificent glass ceilings filled with fashion's top names. Being surrounded by such beauty is an amazing feeling.

I hope you all enjoyed this post of Milan, and I am so excited to share the rest of my posts! I took over 1,000 pictures and videos so.....GET READY.

TIE DYE OR DIE

Matching head to toe!
Vest and skirt, Gap____Crop top, H&M____Shoes, Ann Taylor____Bag, Mulberry for Target____Sunglasses, Ray Ban____Rings, DIY

This fun outfit incorporates two major trends this summer: the crop top and head to toe matching prints. I used to be totally against matching head to toe, but I'm definitely warming up to the idea. The skirt and vest ensemble has been shoved in the back of my closet for a year because the bright blue tie-dye was a little intimidating to me. For some reason, I was inspired to totally rock the bold print. (Random fashion high I guess.) The crop top was a savior today because the temperature reached to almost 100 degrees F. Not only does showing a little stomach keep you from melting under the sun, but I think it is a trendy way to show off a little skin! But I really need to work on tanning my stomach, because it is awkwardly paler than my arms and legs...

I also want to let you guys know in advance that I won't be blogging for a little over a week because I am flying across the world to... you'll know soon enough! (SO EXCITED)

new in: opposites attract

Skinny ankle strap heels. So cute and comfortable!

Shoes, Ann Taylor____beige vest, H&M____Black vest, Nordstrom

Black and white: such timeless and classic colors that should be a staple in anyone's wardrobe. Because blazers are too hot for the summer weather, these blazer vests will be perfect to layer on with shorts or a dress. So many bloggers rock ankle strap heels, so of course it made me crave a pair! I've been on the hunt for the perfect ankle strap heels for months, and finally my hunt is over. I found these shoes from Ann Taylor, and could not decide between the black or nude... so I ended up taking both home. (The struggle of being a shoe addict.) The height of the heel is not too low or high, so I can spare my feet from pain. Needless to say, I am so excited about these new staple pieces.

I slept for about 14 hours last night because I got back from summer camp yesterday. I had an incredible time with the best people ever. Although my exhausted body is glad to be back home, I wished it didn't fly by so fast! I made many new friends and countless memories to last me a lifetime. I am so thankful for my experience there.

Hope you all had a nice weekend as well, and happy Monday!

who wears short shorts

Shorts, Thrifed____Jean jacket, American Eagle____Tank top, Forever21____Shoes, Gap____Bag, thrifted____Watch, Target____Sunglasses, Ray Ban

Summer is in full swing, and the heat is showing no mercy. This outfit is my holy grail when it comes to summer style: high waisted shorts and a tank top. I got the jeans that I am wearing from a thrift store a few days ago and cut them into shorts. I know, it's an overdone DIY, but it literally costs me $5 compared to ones they sell at Urban Outfitters for $50+ dollars. I'm not hating on UO, because I freaking love that store, but seriously, save your self some cash and go on a little hunt at the thrift store! But I've noticed that even the thrift stores are raising their prices on stuff, probably because "thrifting" is cool now. (Thanks, Macklemore.) Even just two years ago, everything literally used to be like three dollars or less... oh the good old days.

After posting this, I am leaving for a weekend-long summer camp. I am looking forward to wearing crappy t-shirts everyday, getting a ridiculous tan, and taking a short break from the internet. It's going to be old-fashioned fun in the sun!

Cats & Dogs

Super random, but nevertheless adorable post worth blogging about: my cocker spaniel, Caramel, and my neighbor's cat, Kitty. I actually have no idea what the cat's real name is, so I just call it Kitty. Not even sure if it's a boy or a girl, either. I used to be a little scared of cats, but Kitty is literally the laziest, people-loving cat I know! I hope my neighbor doesn't mind that I am blogging about his cat...

Anyways, they are both so cute and loving that I owe them a little blog post in their honor.
