BOY/GIRL

Denim backpack, c/o Persunmall____Leather jacket, Korea____Knit top, H&M____faux leather shorts, Forever21____Chelsea boots, Topshop____BOY/GIRL snapback hat, Korea

And here we are, well into the month of August. I am now moved out of my parents' house, relocated to a new city, and starting college in twelve days. Wait....what? Yeah, life has been a busy whirlwind. (Did I really just say that?) This past week was pretty crazy because I'm in that transition phase of settling into my new (tiny) apartment, and filling out a bunch of forms for school. I realize that growing up is a lot of paperwork! But between all that boring stuff, I managed to get tickets to a music festival and saw Macklemore performing live in the flesh. My life is made, and I just love him. The end.

Like all transitions, this one is very exciting, nerve-wracking, and challenging all at the same time. But, I'm a person who enjoys a change of scenery and exploring a new city is so fun. (I am never living in the suburbs again!) This backpack from Persunmall is perfect for roaming the streets, because it is both cute and functional. Plus, it will be perfect for school.

Hope you are all enjoying the last few weeks of summer!

Postcards from Seoul

Here is a compilation of pictures I took during my month in South Korea. I spent most of my time in the capital city of Seoul, seeing my family and catching up with friends. Seoul is a bustling city that literally never sleeps, crowded with people as if it were every night was a Friday. I visit Korea almost every summer, and it is a different experience every year! I always meet new people, discover a favorite dessert cafe, and buy clothes that no one else would have in the States. Coming back home and seeing these pictures feels like it was all just a dream because the month flew by so fast. I can't wait to go back~!

And here we are in August. A month of winding down from lazy summer days and preparing for the coming school year, all the while enjoying the sticky humid weather. Many of you are probably in a similar situation as I am: preparing to leave for college! I've been packing, saying good-bye to close friends, and trying to figure out how the heck I'm going to fit all of my clothes in a tiny apartment. Growing up, I could not wait for the day I move out of my parents' house and start my own life. But now that the day is here, (or more specifically tomorrow morning is my flight) I feel excited, nervous, ready, anxious, and terrified all at the same time. Does anybody know a word to describe that feeling? I also spent a whole day cleaning up my Facebook profile because I don't think I would want my college friends to see embarrassing mirror selfies of me in middle school. (Not cute.) But looking at old pictures with friends was a great walk down memory lane, and it's crazy to think how fast time has gone by. The years only go faster, and I am already excited for the new people, experiences, and lessons that are to come!

HeyDahye VLOG: Italy 2013

At last, this is my final (yes, LAST!) post about Italy. I'm pretty sure you guys are sick of hearing me blab on about my trip. I noticed that the content is 70% food related... very typical of me!

Hope you guys enjoy it!

Italy Day 6: VATICAN CITY

Vatican City, Italy
Dress, H&M____Bag, J. Crew____Sandals, Mango____Sunglasses, Chloe

Last day in Italy was spent at Vatican City. Taking in all the beauty of St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel was unreal. Breathtaking to say the least, and it was a great way to wrap up the week long tour of Italy.

Tomorrow, I am going back to the States. One month in Korea flew by, and I can't believe it is already the end of July! Everyday was a blessing to see my family and old friends, all the while making new friends along the way.

Now I have to deal with the most dreaded part of traveling: packing for home.
