bye bye blondie

Coat, Philip Lim____Leather jacket, Zara____Sweater, Ralph Lauren____Jeans, UO____Shoes, Zara____Watch, Daniel Wellington____black and silver bracelet, c/o Joseph Nogucci____Small string bracelets, c/o Be Arum

I already miss my blonde hair. :/

Combination of needing to take a professional headshot pic, entering university next fall, and getting sick of bleaching my hair led me to go back to brown. I still really love the chocolate brown inspired by Olivia Palermo, but I can't help to mourn the platinum girl inside me. #SobStory

But finally it's warming up! FINALLYYYYY

I'm on my spring break right now. I visited New York City for a few days. It was so amazing to experience the city again, this time with a really special person. <3

Some exciting updates:
- got into the university I wanted!
- moving to a new place in May
- purchased a light bulb ceiling planter... google it. it's the best thing everrrr!

a daily outfit and hair tuck

Coat, H&M____Turtle neck, c/o Littleblack.com____Pants, Zara____Hat, J.Crew____Backpack, Korea

This is my go-to, never-fail outfit. Leather pants with fleece lined leggings under them act like stylish snow pants. And the hair tuck, can never go wrong! My roots are going crazy under my hat, and I'm contemplating whether or not I should go back to brown...

My school work load has been pretty light lately, so I have lots of time to devote to my house-hunting!! I loveeee interior design and i'm so excited to decorate my own flat. I hope I can find the perfect place in the city.

super comfortable travel outfit feat. CULOTTES

culottes c/o LittleBlack.com____coat, Gap____Scarf, Nordstrom____Shoes, Topshop____Bag, Alexander Wang 'Pelican Sling'

After spending Christmas at home in the States, my family and I returned to Spain for the second time since we fell in love with this country last summer. Even in the middle of winter, the weather is mild and full of sunshine everyday. We traveled to the southern region, in Sevilla, and spent a few days again in Madrid and Barcelona. I got to recuperate my relationship with the fresh food markets, meaning tapas for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I wore this outfit several times during the trip. My family is a super light packer, and we managed to fit all of our stuff in one carry on baggage for the entire week. Every time we pass through customs, the officer is impressed. slash suspicious. lol.

I feel fully recharged and inspired for the new year. I'm extremely, extremely, extremely grateful for my family and the amazing places that I'm able to travel to. Feasting all the beautiful sights, tasting new foods, and meeting people is my brain food. Before I graduate university, I want to be able to try everything. I feel like the safety net of being a student will allow me to experiment before going out into the real world of making a living. I'll have to be smart with my time, but I'm just really excited to see what 2015 has in store. I know there will be many changes ahead, especially with graduating my pre-university program and moving to a new apartment!

Happy New year to all, stay inspired and motivated!

AVIATOR FLEECE JACKET + MIDI LENGTH DRESS

Aviator fleece jacket, c/o Miamasvin.net (link here)____Dress, Zara____Boots, Zara

I know complaining isn't going to make it any better, but MAN, it is getting cold in Montreal. Thankfully, I have this aviator-style jacket that reminds me a lot of the Acne Velocite jacket. (but for like a tenth of the price, obviously it's not real sheep skin tho) Not hating on people who wear Canada Goose, because I understand it is an essential survival tool in Canadian winters, but I personally am not a fan. So this jacket is great because it's just aS warm, and I don't look like I'm about to embark on a North-Pole expedition. Yay.

Okay, I'll stop being so sarcastic and negative. But it's probably the stress from studying and the loom of exams that are getting to me... only four exams to go before a month of freedom. Shout out to my fellow library trolls: WE OUT HEEEEYAAA <3

LONG AND COZY SWEATER DRESS

Sweater, c/o Miamasvin.net (link here)____Boots, Zara____necklace, H&M

Like a slap in the face, final exam time is here. This long sweater dress has been my wearable blanket for the long days spent studying at the library and various cafes. (Outfit-repeating guilt level 9000.) The accumulated hours of typing on my laptop and sitting with bad posture is catching up to me big time. I feel like an old lady with my achy wrists and strained neck muscles, but at least it's giving me a reason to go for massages and hot yoga classes. (which is not cheap, but hey, health is first)

Just a few more weeks to go before finishing off another semester. I'm trying to keep it cool, but the thought of my linear algebra final makes me want to binge on dark chocolate as a condolence. happy thoughts, happy thoughts.

Good luck to all the students out there!

OVERSIZED TURTLENECK + PALAZZO PANT

Sweater, c/o Miamasvin.net (link here)____palazzo pants, H&M____Clutch, Want Les Essentiels de la Vie____shoes, Zara

I'm digging the whole shapeless, oversized, and androgynous look lately. Plus, it keeps me super warm by layering leggings and long sleeve tops under all the bagginess.

One of my dearest friends, Katia, finally started her own blog! (http://vibrancyblog.blogspot.ca) We dedicated an entire day to having a photo shoot at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The lighting and modern architecture was absolutely stunning, and the perfect backdrop for our minimalistic outfits. The pictures turned out amazing, but the "photo shoot" process was quite the struggle. (Not gonna lie, I brought a suit case with me LOL) And we totes got kicked out of the museum after a while... Oh, the things bloggers do for good lighting. No shame, NO SHAME. :P
