So I'm kind of getting back in touch with my preppy style, which might explain why I hoarded three different trench coats in the span of two weeks. This one is my favorite, because the fabric is more flow-y and it doesn't wrinkle as much.

I've been in a really good mood all the time. The first reason being, it's finally spring in Montreal. Despite it snowing super randomly sometimes, it is warm enough that it melts by the end of the day. Now that it's warm, I actually leave my house and started exploring more neighborhood cafes. I'm in my last semester of cegep, so the work load has been manageable. Now that I think of it, I haven't pulled an all-nighter for a really long time. It's super exciting to hear about where my friends are going to university this fall, and how we are developing career plans, internships, and actually getting down to serious stuff.

I'm making it my goal to blog and make videos consistently during my upcoming university career. Because of the lighter school load, I've been stalking my favorite bloggers intensely. I love looking back at their first posts from 2008/2009. It's really inspiring to see their own humble start, with awkward mirror selfies and rookie outfit posts.

Also, I realize that I need to start making videos where I'm talking in them. I feel like my personality does not really show through in my current clips. Idk, it's just so awkward to talk alone to a camera ... I thought I would be used to it by now, but it really takes a lot of practice!

And just like that, 2014 is now a memory in the past.

During boring hours at the airport and in flight, I read "The Secret Lives of People in Love" by Simon van Booy. It is a collection of heart throbbing stories about love that comes in all forms: parents, friends, and lovers. I've never read van Booy before, but his writing is like poetry and the book has so many inspiring quotes. Here is one that is very fitting for this time of year: Time would not exist if it were not for memories. It just made me think of how everything that's happened in the past is only a memory, and although it shapes who we are in the present, the future is in our total control waiting to be created. No matter what 2014 was like, both with its positive and negative events, 2015 is like a lump of clay. We can mold it, bend it, sculpt it into a work of art.

Thank you to all the lovely people who make my life joyful and inspiring. Merry Christmas and happy new year!

LONG AND COZY SWEATER DRESS

Like a slap in the face, final exam time is here. This long sweater dress has been my wearable blanket for the long days spent studying at the library and various cafes. (Outfit-repeating guilt level 9000.) The accumulated hours of typing on my laptop and sitting with bad posture is catching up to me big time. I feel like an old lady with my achy wrists and strained neck muscles, but at least it's giving me a reason to go for massages and hot yoga classes. (which is not cheap, but hey, health is first)

Just a few more weeks to go before finishing off another semester. I'm trying to keep it cool, but the thought of my linear algebra final makes me want to binge on dark chocolate as a condolence. happy thoughts, happy thoughts.

Good luck to all the students out there!

I'm digging the whole shapeless, oversized, and androgynous look lately. Plus, it keeps me super warm by layering leggings and long sleeve tops under all the bagginess.

One of my dearest friends, Katia, finally started her own blog! (http://vibrancyblog.blogspot.ca) We dedicated an entire day to having a photo shoot at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The lighting and modern architecture was absolutely stunning, and the perfect backdrop for our minimalistic outfits. The pictures turned out amazing, but the "photo shoot" process was quite the struggle. (Not gonna lie, I brought a suit case with me LOL) And we totes got kicked out of the museum after a while... Oh, the things bloggers do for good lighting. No shame, NO SHAME. :P
