Style Nanda Neoprene Skirt

I really fell in love with this skirt because of its fun peplum at the bottom and the neoprene fabric. It literally bounces with each step, but it is already becoming one of those pieces that will probably be sitting in my closet without seeing much sunlight. Sometimes, impulse buying takes the better of you.

Confessions of a shopaholic.

I have a love/hate relationship with rompers.

On the love side, they are great because you have a whole outfit solved with a single piece of clothing. On the hate side, they are usually super short and it is a two-day trip every time you go to the bathroom. But love conquers all, right?

These pictures were taken during my stay in NYC, this time exploring the financial district and Brooklyn Bridge area with Emily. The weather was fantastic (great picture lighting) and it was less congested with tourists. (lol, I was one of those tourists...)

Looking ahead, I am SO SO excited to share pictures from my trip to Spain!!! I filled up two memory cards, so many exciting posts coming up. I am now back at my parents' house in the States, where I am taking a quick break before I leave again for South Korea. I think my body is like immune to jet lag now...

So, that's what they mean by a 'New York minute.' What started out as a plan to stay a few days, ended up being a full ten days in NYC.

I think a few bullet points are enough to sum up my visit:

- daily macchiato at Stumptown coffee roasters (the best EVER)
- literally went to every zara in manhattan
- discovered Williamsburg and its hipster reincarnation
- i am officially, unofficially a pro at finding free wifi spots
- running in and out of ktown a minimum four times a day
- the blisters on my feet show evidence of how much I walked

But the best part of this trip was being able to stay with my friends at their own pad. It's no MTV cribs material, but they do have a sick ass view of the Empire state building from the balcony. (It is such a joy to wake up and fall asleep to that view everyday.) I feel so lucky to have a group of genuine friends I can discover the city with, and I feel as if our journey towards being a wanna-be 'Sex and the City' crew has just begun.

On the day I took these pictures, I was with Sarah, who is a friend I have not seen in person in three years! She studies in new york now, and it's crazy to think we met in the most suburban part of the country. Through the years, I was so happy to see that she has not changed a bit, except that now she is prettier and even more fashionable. We spent a whole day, starting with brunch at Buvette, shopping in Soho (with our eyes), and catching up on everything. It's funny because we both feel as if living in a big city kind of changes the way you think, and going back to the suburbs is something we never want to do.

As of now, I am back at my parents' house. I am resting my feet, and blogging to my heart's desire. Plus, I really do not want to go outside and deal with this humidity.

Hope you are all doing well, and as always, thank you so much for stopping by. <3

It's official.

After a solid two years of coveting Karen Walker sunglasses, I finally got my hands on the quintessential 'covers-three-quarters-of-your-face-blogger' sunnies. You've probably seen these on Atlantic Pacific, Pink Peonies, Neon Blush, etc... so many of my fave bloggers had these, making it unavoidable for me to see them online all the time. Basically, it was only a matter of time for me to save up! I can already tell that these are going to be on my face the entirety of summer. It's seriously pitch dark to block out the rays, and it also is perfect to creep on people without them knowing you're staring at them. (Everyone does that right? or is that just me...)

Life right now is pretty awesome. My classes are finished, and I just have to get through four final exams, then it's officially summer!!! Too bad my brain already switched into summer mode. It's quite the struggle to get myself to sit down and practice integration. I just have to keep reminding myself that it's the last mile of the marathon (not that I run, or anything) and the finish line is so, so close. The reward of going back home and traveling is within reach!

Wishing the best of luck to all students out there.

And I hope everyone has a fantastic Mother's Day. It should be everyday that we show how much we truly appreciate our #1 best friend, teacher, and life coach. But life gets busy, so let's all take a moment to show our love today. <3
