The final post from Montreal Fashion Week! There were booths by Covergirl and Pantene, offering free makeovers to the show attendees. I didn't take advantage of this because I unfortunately didn't have enough time between shows. However, the cocktail area was very beautiful and another wing of the venue displayed great pieces of art.

I have to be honest with you guys by saying that I was a little intimidated by all the other people who attended the fashion shows. Not only because I was one of the youngest people there, but also because it was my first experience being surrounded by so many stylish people in the fashion industry. I'm not a person that gets shy very often, but I definitely was at this event, especially in the first few shows. However, I did find the courage to introduce myself to some people, and I am so happy that I did. I was able to meet other bloggers in Montreal, and it was amazing to see how many connections I was getting in just one night. I started my fashion blog two years ago sort of on a whim, but now that I am meeting such awesome people, attending shows, and going backstage, it feels almost surreal. I mean, it's not New York Fashion week, or backstage at Chanel, but it's a great start and I know that it's just the beginning!

Here's to being a part of blogger nation!

MTL Fashion Week #SMM 2013: Martin Lim

The final show I attended during Montreal Fashion Week was Martin Lim. Most of the collection was black and white perfection, but the final gown was a splash of color. His clothes are all about movement, and the train of the gown flowed like the jellyfish imprinted on the front. It was a beautiful collection, and a great way to end Montreal fashion week!

MTL Fashion Week #SMM 2013: Eve Gravel

Eve Gravel was such a fun show to watch because not only were the clothes youthful, but the music was on point. This collection was full of bold tribal prints and neon statements. I am obsessed with the beaded statement necklaces that are worn on top of your hair... maybe it will catch on as a new trend? In fashion, you just never know what the next big thing is!

MTL Fashion Week #SMM 2013: Travis Taddeo

Travis Taddeo's collection was presented as a live mannequin showing, rather than a tradition fashion show. It was great to be able to get up close to the clothes, and also to take better pictures. This collection is the definition of street style: jersey hoodies, leather shorts, and baseball caps. I love the monochrome styling, and I can already predict that it will be a big trend this spring!

MTL Fashion Week #SMM 2013: Caroline Constas and Laruelle

Second post from my Montreal Fashion Week coverage.

CAROLINE CONSTAS

I absolutely love Caroline Constas for her designs made with the everyday woman in mind. Her clothes embodies the successful career girl who can nail a sales pitch during the day, and enjoy her free time at trendy bars at night. The clothes can easily go from day to night with the right accessories.

LARUELLE

Laruelle did a fantastic job at creating a modern/futuristic collection, that is very wearable at the same time. Minimal details, minimal hairstyling, and clean cut lines. But with the right fabric, and perfect hues of navy to lavender, the collection is proof that minimalism is back like never before.

Hope you guys liked this post, and stay tuned for more!
