Here is my outfit that I wore to the Topshop opening last week. (See the post here!) A kind of random melange of patterns and trends that come together into a street-style inspired look.

Hope you all had a nice week!

You know when there is a Topshop opening near you, the right thing to do is drop everything and run there as fast as possible. Last week, I attended a pre-opening event for Topshop in Carrefour Laval! A group of bloggers and media got an exclusive tour of the new location and a chance to shop the collection. After snacking on a bacon donut, (I know it sounds gross, but it was actually amazing!) I was ready to get my shop on. The new store in Laval really impressed me by its sheer size and selection of items, that could almost rival the location in NYC! Whether your style is girly, British-punk, cosmopolitan, or jeans-girl, Topshop has a section catered for you. I literally spent so much time looking through all of their clothes, and don't get me started on the shoe section.

The new feature of this store that really impressed me was their personal styling service. You go into a cozy lounge area, and a personal stylist can create outfits for you in-store. I think this is a great idea, considering it may be overwhelming trying to decide what to get from so many options.

I was very impressed by how good I was, because I walked away with just one item from the store... Will post on outfit with it on soon!

Thank you Topshop Canada for the great experience, and girls, if you live in the area, you know what to do. ;)

Wearing V-FRANZ to DULCEDO

Dress, huge thanks to V-Franz_____Clutch, American Apparel____Shoes, Zara

Photos by Camille

Here are some pictures I took from a party I went to for Dulcedo Model Management's Five-year anniversary. I attended this black tie event with my sister, who is a model at the agency, and Camille, my blogger side-kick. Mingling, drinking, and dancing the night away at a trendy venue, alongside beautiful models and fashion people dressed to the tee, is my idea of a good night.

Of course, the hardest part is deciding on what to wear. I was so lucky that V-Franz let me wear one of his designs to the party! I chose this one-of-a-kind silk dress that fit like a glove, with elegant ruching details. All of his designs incorporate luxurious fabrics and make a statement without trying too hard. Many of the other models wore his designs to the party, and I have to say that they all looked fierce. Not only is Vfranz a talented designer, but he is also a genuinely nice and down-to-earth guy, which makes him an all-around awesome person. Watch out for him; he's going to make it big.

To finish the look, I frantically ran to Zara right after school to get shoes, half an hour before the party! (Talk about being fashionably late, literally.) These heels have a little spin-off from the simple pointed pump, and they were pretty comfortable considering how wide my feet are. Zara is seriously a life-saver when it comes to last-minute fashion needs! As for accessories, I kept it minimal with the carry all leather pouch from AA and a few gold bangles. And finally, I swiped on this new burgundy lipstick called "Diva" by MAC. (my burgundy obsession will never stop!)

TGIF!

MTL Fashion Week #SMM 2013: Martin Lim

The final show I attended during Montreal Fashion Week was Martin Lim. Most of the collection was black and white perfection, but the final gown was a splash of color. His clothes are all about movement, and the train of the gown flowed like the jellyfish imprinted on the front. It was a beautiful collection, and a great way to end Montreal fashion week!

MTL Fashion Week #SMM 2013: Eve Gravel

Eve Gravel was such a fun show to watch because not only were the clothes youthful, but the music was on point. This collection was full of bold tribal prints and neon statements. I am obsessed with the beaded statement necklaces that are worn on top of your hair... maybe it will catch on as a new trend? In fashion, you just never know what the next big thing is!
