Now that I'm blonde, all I want to wear is black. I don't know what the correlation is, but it's a thing. I got back from my first time at New York Fashion Week a few days ago, and I am going through a post-NYFW depression. It was an amazing time, and I met so many lovely people during my short stay. Fashion has the most interesting way of recycling itself. Who would have thought overalls would come back into style? I certainly did not see it coming, but it's awesome to be able to wear a childhood favorite again without looking like a hill billy. I won the overalls I'm wearing from a contest held by Twee from ezzentrictopz.com (Thanks again Twee!) Now that the ground is covered in snow, I'm going to have to layer up with tights!

All tied up - Spoiler Magazine Part II

Here is the second outfit from Spoiler Magazine's fashion board post. I am loving the grunge trend, inspired by British street style and rock bands. Tying a plaid shirt around your waist is the perfect, and easiest way to add a little color and grunge to any outfit. Plus, you can layer it on when it gets chilly. 

Yet another week has flown by! It's crazy to think there are only a few weeks left in the semester. Now it's down to crunch time... I am writing this post instead of my analytical essay for English, because I am having a major writer's block right now. (Please, god or goddess of creating meaning out of ambiguous poems, help!)

Anyways, I have a three-day weekend to work on it so wish me luck!

My sister and I flew down to NYC last weekend for a quick two-day trip. We really had a limited amount of time, so we tried to make the most of it. We visited the Brooklyn flea market, ate amazing pizza, met up with my friend (HI BON!), gorged on Korean food, and then went speed shopping in Soho before heading to the airport. It truly was a "New York Minute" trip and I can't wait to go back again.

Every Sunday, my sister and I make it a point to try out a new place for brunch around the city. We are both very busy during the week so it's honestly the only time we can sit down and talk about everything and anything, over lattes and poached eggs. Luckily, Montreal has an awesome food scene so it will take us a while to cross off all the places on our "to eat" list! 

I love discovering cute gems that gives the city its charm. Like this phone booth that some person decorated with colorful origami swans. (What?! Phone booths still exist!) Honestly, I wish I could give the person who decorated this booth a big hug. The fact that they spent their own time and energy to add a little beauty and color to the world is simply awesome. Sometimes, we are all just so busy in the day-to-day routine and constantly checking our phones, that we forget to appreciate the little things that make life a little brighter.

Graphic tees with attitude are a big trend right now. I am obsessed with this one I'm wearing: two bananas in a Chanel logo shape flicking each other off. How awesomely random is that?
