Pink Polka Dot Collar

Pleather jacket: H&M
Crew neck sweater: Gap
Skirt: H&M
Shoes: Korea
Bag: DSW
Necklace: Charming Charlie's

My friend invited me over to "design" clothes. By "designing," more like cutting up clothes that has been collecting dust in her closet! It was really fun. I cut the collar off of this frumpy button up, and it is so cute to wear as a detachable collar accessory! I love the polka dot pattern and the bright pink.

This outfit is so preppy and girly. I love the full circle shape of this skirt, and the bright band of pink compliments the collar pretty well. Also, I am obsessed with the top knot hairstyle.

Over the weekend, I had a speech tournament (yes, I am a big speech team geek), then I went to our school's talent show! It was very fun and I love finding about the hidden voice or musical talent that people have. It really makes me want to learn the guitar, but with my previous experiences with the piano and the flute, I know that music is really not my forte!

Hope you had a good weekend!

The Red Coats Are Coming

My whole outfit, excluding the black dress from H&M, is thrifted! I was so excited when I found this red coat. I love the color and it fits pretty well.

My friends and I went out to a late lunch/cake eating date. Ugh it's soooo good. I feel like the month of February literally flew by. The three day school week was great!

The picture right above ^^^ was right when our noses were about to freeze off and snow started to fall lightly. So, we called it a wrap and the photos turned out great.

I have been so distracted from doing my homework by all the photos from New York Fashion Week! I love the outfits that my favorite bloggers wore. I think attending a fashion show is utterly fabulous. Hopefully one day, I will be an attendee. It is definitely one of my dreams in life.

Hope you all had a great week. I am so excited for the long weekend, thanks to President's Day! I am looking forward to sleeping in, blogging, knitting, and just being lazy. I haven't been able to do that in a while.

V is for Valentine—Horror Trailer

Hey everybody!!

Today is the 14th of February, and you all know what day that is. Valentine's Day! The day of love and... CHOCOLATE! Oh my gosh,,, I ate wayyyyyy too much sugar today. But it's all good. It was a fun day at school because V-day candy grams and serenade grams were sent. I hope all the ladies out there with a special someone had a great day! And for those single gals (ME), it's okay. I love being single. (Maybe I'm in denial?) Just kidding. :P It's the day to surround yourself with family and friends.

And I want to share the love with my followers as well. Your generous comments are so appreciated, I can't even begin explain!

Here is a fun clip to watch, in spirit of the day of love. But turned into a horror movie. We filmed this at school, and it was such a blast!

V is for VALENTINE ... hope you enjoy it!

We're just starting out

Hey everybody!

I am so excited to share this post with you all. Last weekend, my friend, Amara, invited me for a photo shoot along with Paige. Paige is honestly gorgeous and a natural in front of the camera. We had a blast taking these pictures. After driving around for a bit, thinking of where to take them in the first place, we found ourselves in a "sketchy" barn. It looked like it was abandoned in a hurry and then attacked by a tornado or something. But even a midst this chaos, there was so much beauty in it! After a few hours, when our noses were becoming red and numb from the cold, we called it a wrap. To warm up, we ended the fun day with some greasy food at McDonald's. It's the teenage life... :P

Enjoy these pictures...this is only part one! (of two)

The reason why I titled this post "We're just starting out" is because that is exactly where we all are in our lives. Amara, Paige, and I go to the same high school and we each have our own personal passions. For Amara, it is photography (duhh), while Paige loves fashion and modeling. And for me, I adore fashion as well. We are all finding "our place" and the future is ahead for us. We're just rookies! (But I have to say that the photography looks pretty professional...)

Anyways, I hope you all like the pictures. Stay tuned for part two!

Jumping Nerd

Hey!

Sweater: Gilly Hicks
Jean shirt: American Eagly
Red Corduroys: Marshall's
Loafers: Thrifted
Bag: Korea

I am obsessed with this new collar jewelry that I got at a thrift store. When I first found it, I had no clue what it was but then I was like "Aha!" it's for a collar! I think it is awesome and so unique. Love how the hands grab on to the collar AND there are pearls! It is definitely one of my favorite things of this moment.

^^^ Jumping for joy.
