green day

I recently got this skirt from H&M and I know that I will be wearing it very often for the upcoming fall season. I love the bright Kelly green, and the classic pencil shape of the skirt. But the fabric is a stretchy denim, so it is very wearable, and doesn't look too dressy! When the weather starts getting colder, I know I'm going to regret saying this, but I seriously cannot WAIT for fall!!! It is my absolute favorite season. There are many reasons why... Fall fashion week, my birthday, and perfect weather for a chunky circle scarf.

What's your favorite season?

happy monday :)

I think my style is going through a preppy phase, because I find myself being attracted to tops with any sort of collar on it, paired with girly circle skirts. Finish off with a simple watch, and I'm ready for school. I take about 15 minutes to get ready in the morning. I have trained myself well to get ready in such a short amount of time because I have a chronic condition that makes me hit the snooze button on my alarm to the point where the whole purpose of having an alarm becomes pointless.

It's only my second week of school, and I'm already missing the lazy summer days! Let the countdown to summer 2013 begin. :)

Pink and olive green is one of my favorite color combinations. I got the blouse from Gap for a steal a super long time ago, but this is my first time wearing it! As you can see, there is an awkward crease line that goes straight across my torso. That's probably because it was folded, and shoved away in a dark, rarely visited corner of my drawers. Now that I am reorganizing everything, I am finding long-forgotten clothes left and right!

My hair is not long enough, and I am not "hipster" enough to do an ombre on my hair tips, so why not incorporate the trend to my nails? I realized that I own every shade of yellow nail polish that exists under the sun. Which is odd because I'm not particularly fond of yellow nails. But the shades make for great ombre nails, with a sparkly polish at the end.

And, please try to ignore my chubby fingers. I consider them "baby fat."

... and ===

^^ The title of this post probably doesn't make any sense. But it is the fruit of my creativity (rather dried up) that came up with this innovative title. The periods (...) stands for "dots," and the equal signs (===) are supposed to stand for "stripes." If anyone got it, MAJOR brownie points to you. :) Anyways, here is my outfit featuring dots and stripes, tied together with pops of primary colors.

Soooooooo, apparently I need another Physical education credit in order to graduate at my new high school... Lucky, lucky me gets to have swimming class every single day for the rest of the school year. (Yes, I'm being sarcastic.) Nothing against swimming, but it's just an extra hassle to change out, get wet, ruin make-up, etc... sigh, boys have it so easy in this field. So, if my hair is slightly damp in any of my future posts, now you know why!

A New Chapter

Hey everyone!

Long time, no see! We just got our Internet connection in our new house today, so I haven't been able to blog for a bit. BUT FINALLY the wi-fi is back! My week and a half long break from the Internet really made me realize of how dependent I am of it. Eh, whatever. I'm just glad I can check my emails, blogs, fb, etc, etc...

Yesterday was my first day at my new high school, and I couldn't help but feel a little nervous about it. All of the new faces intimidated me at first, but I have already met some really nice people in each of my classes. Looking at all of the students at lunch, having fun with their well-established friend group makes me miss my friends back home even more. The transition is definitely tough, but so far, it's going good. :) One day at a time, right?

Another big change about my move to a new state will be the new settings in my blog posts! I'm scoping for the best lighting location, with nice trees and "blog-worthy" backgrounds.

Here's to embracing changes, and making the best out of them!

Actually took these pictures right outside of the hotel we are staying at. Still waiting for our moving truck to arrive so we can move into our new house. Hopefully it will get here soon!

Road Trip Photo Diary

Hey everyone!

This is not like my usual outfit posts, but more about what I've been up to. I think I've mentioned this a few times here and there that I'm moving this summer from the Midwest to the Southeast. Well, now I guess I can say that I have officially moved!

My family and I, (including my dog, Caramel), took the move as an opportunity to travel the great states of the Americas. Okay, well I was not necessarily thrilled when my parents told me that we had to drive over a thousand miles to reach our new home. Quite frankly, I was not thrilled at all. I will be entering my junior year of high school this fall, which is conveniently smack in the middle of high school. Yeah, needless to say, it sucks. I don't want to turn this post into a sob story, but I really am going to miss my best friends and places I frequented in my hometown. But, at the same time, I'm excited for the change. I know that I am going to have many new experiences that will expand my horizons (mentally/spiritually/emotionally/I don't know what I'm saying), and maybe make a few friends along the way. I've moved before from Canada to the US in the 5th grade, so I kind of know what it's like to be "new in town," but moving during high school has got to be a different story. So we'll see how that goes... DUN DUN DUNNNN *cue dramatic music*

Okay, I'm done ranting about my feeeelings, promise!! Here are some pictures I took during our road trip. The trip took a total of two nights and three days. Most of that time was spent sitting in the car, listening to music, while trying to calm my dog down. (She gets very nervous in the car.)

Caramel! (she says HI)

Basically what the road looked like for most of the trip. Field after field after field after field of who knows what.

An ant's eye shot of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri. We took a stop at this city to check out the arch. It was over 100 degrees, so it made me wonder how this metal structure was not melting!

The bottom half of my body.

It was so hot, her tongue could have reached the ground! I really wonder what Caramel thought about during the car ride, and all of the unfamiliar places.

Currently, I am staying at a hotel until we can finally move in to our new house. After all that driving, I was in the BIGGEST shopping mood, so literally the first thing my mom and I did when we arrived was hit up the nearest mall. That sounds like a legitimate addiction, right? I will probably be back to my regular outfit posts by next week. Until then, I will be busy busy busy unpacking, registering for classes, and finding where the nearest Chipotle is.

And one more update before I am done... I GOT A NEW CAMERA!!! After lots of research and shopping around, I went with the Canon PowerShot SX40 HS. Boy, that's a mouthful. It's like a happy medium between a DSLR and a point-and-shoot digital camera. I am impressed and content with it so far! I hope the better picture quality will make my blog even more enjoyable than it already is! If that is possible...

HAHA, I'm just so funny.
