With many studs left over, I thought why not stud a pair of shoes? I got these converse-inspired high tops from H&M. I love how they are slouchy and adds a casual vibe to this otherwise girly outfit.
I added five studs along the back on each side of the shoes. It is a great way to add a subtle edge!
Kate Spade "Southport Avenue" cross body. New carry-it-everywhere-everyday item.
Woohoo! This is my 100th post on this blog.
I am color blocking with very bright colors in this outfit. I spotted these heels for the first time at Gap last fall, and I actually took a picture of them because I loved them so much. But it wasn't at a price I was willing to pay for at that time, but earlier this spring, I found these shoes again for a bargain!! It was one of those shopping moments when you know it's meant to be. The Tiffany blue skirt was made by myself in my fashion design class in school. I am obsessed with this color. I am wearing a small petticoat under the skirt to make it extra poofy! This outfit is so dang girly. :)
It has been rainy the past few days, so I couldn't go outside to take pictures. I decided that it would be fun to show you some bits and pieces of my jewelry/accessory collection. :)
Everything in my "collection" has been gained slowly since I was in elementary school. I love how with every necklace, earring, or ring, I can remember where I got it. Every piece has its own little story behind it!
I got this skater figurine at a Nationals USFS competition a few years ago.
I was obsessed with Juicy Couture in middle school. Now, I barely wear these necklaces!
I got this silver platter from a thrift store for $0.99! It makes a great display for my rings.
I made this Chanel flap bag in my ceramics class at school! The pearl strap and the logo was supposed to be white, but I used the wrong glaze color. :/ I think the blue still looks cool though!
I throw my headbands in this hand-painted basket.
Stash of sunglasses. Randomness at its peak.
I made this piece in my ceramics class as well. Currently stores cotton balls :)
I'm pretty sure I'm the last person in the fashion world to do this DIY, but here it is anyways! (better late than never)
studded collar materials:
- studs (no brainer) I got my studs from Ebay. $2 for a pack of 50!
- butter knife (to push in the prongs)
- any collared shirt (I got mine from a thrift store! They are very cheap and usually easy to find.)
1. Lay out where you want your studs to be placed. Here I am using rose gold 8mm pyramid studs.
2. Pierce the studs into the fabric, and push the prongs inwards with the butter knife. It makes a cute flower shape!
3. Voila! You are done. You turned a boring collared shirt into a trendy one!
Ahhh, the classic wrinkly shirt.
Dress from H&M
Thanks to muhhh girl Liz for taking pictures of me:) I wish you the best of luck at your new school next year!
This is such a fun DIY, and I really hope the collar trend will stay because I love it!
Here is a great collar DIY video from Chriselle Lim on Youtube. Ugh, I seriously love her!!!
This is what I wore yesterday to my last day of school. As they say, end with a bang!
I adore the high-low trend. I think it is so fun and easy to pull off! When I walk, the skirt trails behind beautifully. IT'S AWESOME.
My friends and I went out to dinner to celebrate, and on the car ride home, there was the brightest rainbow ever!! On top of that, it was DOUBLE RAINBOW. But the other one was really faint, so I couldn't capture it with my camera. Sorry this picture is so blurry as well. Not so great at photography in a moving car.
Anyways, it feels great to be out of school. Let summer begin!
It's a fun site that can easily become addicting. I can kill so much time just by browsing through the top models in the industry. I love looking at how the models got discovered, and how ridiculously tall they are!!
So, as I was browsing, I stumbled upon a very unique face. Her name is Lindsey Wixson. She hails from Kansas, and she is only a year older than I am! But already, she became the face of Miu Miu, Jill Stuart beauty, Mulberry, and Versace perfume. It is undeniable her big, baby-doll shaped lips and gap tooth that sets her apart from the sea of models. I mean, it's really hard not to be captivated by such unconventional beauty!
